The app’s visual identity work began during the early ideation phase and was shaped by insights from the Insight and Define stages. Our design strategy aimed to align the aesthetic direction with the emotional drivers and expectations of our user base, while also reinforcing product positioning.
Given that the product was built for baseball players, we integrated visual cues from traditional baseball culture to create familiarity and authenticity. Simultaneously, we introduced high-tech design elements — such as clean typography, modern UI components, and dynamic visuals — to communicate the app’s innovative, premium nature. This duality helped bridge the gap between heritage and technology.
With a higher price point relative to standard sports equipment, it was also essential that the visual identity instill a sense of value and trust. Finally, to reflect the core purpose of the app — to inspire movement and joy — we infused the interface with a tone of playfulness and light humor, creating a user experience that felt engaging, fun, and emotionally resonant.
